Filed

We had some incredible news today. Our case has been filed for a court date!!!! Our director thinks that we may have even received a court date today, but wasn't able to check for sure. This is incredible as the average has been about 12 days before hearing when your court date is actually scheduled for. YAY!! What an answer to prayer that we have made it this far!

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith Jehovah. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, and giveth seed to the sower and bread to the eater; so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." Isaiah 55:8-11

Swimming!

Today was W. & B.'s first day of swimming lessons. B. did not like the water. He was very scarred of getting his head wet. Hopefully tomorrow he will do better! W. had a lot of watching his cousin jump in the water.

Our adoption update is rather exciting! We heard that our adoption agency was supposed to file for a court date today!!! We may not hear when it is actually scheduled for 1-2 weeks, but we are very excited to finally have something happening! The wait has been hard and long, but it looks like we will be able to bring our little girl home sometime is August.

Friends & Fun

This past weekend we had our friends, (the Cake's) come visit us. They are also adopting from Ethiopia, (two sisters, B. & T. who are 12 & 14). It was such a refreshing time of fellowship and fun. Many good memories were made. We hope they come back soon! We are blessed to have such wonderful friends.

Here are some pictures of our weekend together.....

Yipee!

Today we received our I-171H approval notice! We cannot bring our daughter home without this, so it is a very important piece of paper! Now we just continue to wait for a court date. Then we can make plans for travel. God is good, and everything is coming together.

And she's 1....

M.'s first birthday was Monday. We celebrated with grandparents, aunt & uncle, and cousins. It's so hard to believe she is already a year old!

Big smile!

She wasn't too sure what to think of her cake.....

....but she sure had fun eating it.....

.....or did she just play with it???

We had friends come and visit this past weekend. I have lots of pictures and want to post about it. But, that will have to wait till next time. We are still waiting on news about our little girl and her court date. I will post as soon as we hear anything.

Thanks for reading,

It's a girl!

We officially accepted our little girls' referral on June 4. They were supposed to file for a court date this week, so I have been waiting to put announce it on here until we knew a little more. I have not heard if they filed or when for sure they will. But, we are hoping to be able to travel in August! We cannot post pictures until after we pass court and she officially becomes our little girl. But, she is 1 and a complete doll!
Please continue to pray for a speedy court date and that every thing will go smoothly so we can pass court the first time through.

Thanks for reading.
