My baby boy turned....

3!!!! He wanted a chocolate firetruck cake, so that's what he got...

Oh, and we also got a special 4-wheeler this weekend! W. is so excited to have "his own" because "he is big". Well, at least he's not big enough to shift it. And it has a key, so no riding without mom knowing.

You have GOT to be kidding me!

I was just downstairs, walked passed the boys' room when something caught my eye on the wall. Check it out. Oh, and there were actually two of them (and it's barely 8am. Is this any indication of how the rest of my day will be?)! I am so totally buying more bug bombs today. I was going to wait till tomorrow, but I do not think this can wait any longer!

AHHHH!! The Spiders Are Taking Over!!!!

Okay, so it would not typically be in my nature to take pictures, let alone post them, of spiders. However, this is a special circumstance where these are incredibly huge and disgusting. The spiders are taking over our house! Seriously!!!

**Warning! These are very graphic pictures and may cause nightmares.**
We found this guy on the outside of our garage. Pretty, isn't he?

This weekend we moved the girls' room upstairs and our office/schoolroom to the basement. We found something like 5 or 6 Hobo Spiders in their bedroom alone. This morning I went to start a bath for B. and there was another one in the bathtub. After being quite sure I had killed it by flushing it away, I was quite shocked to walk in the bathroom about an hour later to find yet another hobo in the sink! And the biggest one yet! In all the goings on of having four kids 4 & under, one of the boys let the dog in (Benellie, the hyper black lab, who is not allowed in the house), which scarred O. and she started crying. I could hear the dog practically running laps around the upstairs on my beautiful hardwood floors. Of course, I had to run up and put her out. I quickly returned to the bathroom downstairs to finish off the spider, but it was gone. I am not at all comfortable with this situation! However, I cannot change it. I am just glad the girls don't have to sleep down there any more. Sorry boys. Oh, and I forgot to mention that Benellie also found a porcupine last night or this morning. Now, it was less than a month ago we commented about how wonderful she was. She had never gotten into one. She was so smart. Etc, etc, etc. Well, all I can say is, she found one. But thankfully, there were only between 15 - 20 quills, and, she let me pull them all out. They were not deeply embedded at all! Amazing, I know!

Helping Daddy Work

The other evening we all went out to help Daddy work on his machine. The boys always get a kick out of being at Daddy's work.

Daddy's machine....

The big trees

Working on the processor....

Working in the dirt...

The girls played in the pickup so they didn't get so dirty.

I've been terrible...

I know I've been a terrible blogger lately. I am so sorry! Since arriving home, I have been more tired than I believe I have ever been. I do not know if it is from traveling, or having been sick, or maybe adjusting to 4 kids. Or possible all of those? Anyway, I cannot wait till I have energy again! Seriously, last week I was awake maybe 5 hours a day. That's not normal!

Everyone here is adjusting wonderfully to having a new sister. And O. is fitting in very well. Her brothers adore her and giver her just as much attention and affection as they give M. She sleeps great! Since being home, she has been perfectly on the same schedule as M.! They wake up together, eat together, take naps together, even fill their diapers together. They are offended if one gets their diaper changed without the other one. It's crazy! O. is 3 lbs lighter than M., however, if she keeps eating like she is, they won't be different for long! Okay, off to go check on everyone....
