A fun day...

Yesterday we went to the park to play. The kids had a blast playing and swinging and sliding! I have tried several times to upload pictures, but it just won't work!!!
Today is my mom's birthday. My sister and I are going to spend the afternoon with her. We plan to go to different antique stores and just having a fun girl day. Then tonight we have the pleasure of spending time with friends and having great fellowship (plus meeting some new friends!)! AND, we will get to meet their newest addition to their family from Ethiopia! Click here to read about their journey!
This was part of my devotion this morning, and I wanted to share it....
"For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps.
He never sinned, nor ever deceived anyone.
He did not retaliate when he was insulted, nor threaten revenge when he suffered.
He left his case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly.
He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed.
Once you were like sheep who wandered away. But now you have turned to you Shepherd, the Guardian of your souls." ~1 Peter 2: 21-25

A new journey...

Today is the first day of my new business. Selling Mary Kay products! If you would like to visit my online site, click here or on the link on the sidebar. I am very excited about this new journey!! This is something I can do from home and can build as my kids grow. I can still be home with them, and homeschooling them. It will also give me an outlet to meet new people.

Winter wonderland....

This morning we had -3.5*, and it has currently warmed up to 24.4*. Just last week we had mud everywhere....and now it is snowy everywhere....and the forcast is saying up to 52* next week! Yay for the mud again. Why can't it just go from snow to pretty green spring and flowers? Why do we have to have the mud? It is just so.....messy.

What's cooking....

This is buckwheat cereal. I soak the buckwheat, the dry it out. Add honey, coconut oil, cinnamon, coconut, flax seed then let it dry out for a few more hours in the oven (or dehydrator). When it is finished it makes a very yummy cold cereal breakfast. Much cheaper and healthier than regular cold cereal! I am also going to add raisins this time. Oh, and did I mention the the kids love it, and were disappointed to learn we had run out this morning?

What should be cooking.....

I probably should be starting on dinner. Pepperoni Calzone! Especially since Wyatt has AWANA in less than 2 hours. But my oven is full! ...what's a mom to do??!!

Our weekend

Saturday started out with heart shaped pancakes and heart shaped eggs. The boys thought it was pretty awesome. Then we went on a three hour long 4-wheeler ride looking for antlers.

We did not find any.

Came home and Jesse and I got ready to go out. One of Jesse's sisters came down to stay with the kids. We have friends who did dinner and a movie, so it was a great time with friends. We dressed up (for the fun of it) and watched Fireproof. If you have not seen it, you really should!

Sunday was our 6th anniversary!!!! Amazing how time flies! We spent the day playing games with our matron-of-honor and best man! How cool is that?! (and yes, I wore the same dress Saturday as my sister wore in my wedding....)

(does anyone see anything wrong with this picture?!)
